Questions about this service
How often must the AIS be tested?
Once a year. SOLAS V/18.9 requires an annual test by an approved surveyor or an approved testing or servicing facility, and a copy of the test report must be kept on board.
Which classification societies accept your AIS test report?
SEATECH Electric is an approved service supplier for AIS testing with ABS, Bureau Veritas, DNV, Lloyd's Register and ClassNK. Certificate numbers and expiry dates are shown on our home page.
Can the AIS test be done together with the radio survey?
Yes. Most vessels book the AIS annual test together with the GMDSS radio survey and, where fitted, the VDR annual performance test, so everything is done in one port call.
How do I book?
Email service@seatech-electric.com with the vessel name, IMO number, port, ETA and AIS make and model, or use the enquiry form.
